If you don’t know the identity of the bond, you have the right to request a copy from the public authority in charge of the public works project.

Further, deadlines are counted from the “final settlement” of the project. You may not know this date, but you can likely find it out from the public authority. The prime contractor is required to publish a notice of final settlement with a newspaper of general circulation in the area of the project.
