Zlien v. Lien It Now – A Comparison

A few days ago a conversation with a potential client inspired me to write a blog post about LienItNow’s mechanics lien order form. The article – Caution: LienItNow’s Mechanics Lien Form Doesn’t Take State Differences Into Account – turned into a little comparison between Zlien and the LienItNow (Lien It Now) service.

It’s not the first time I wrote about the Lien It Now service. On a number of occasions I’ve called their business practices in to question, as they publish incorrect lien law information and violate copyrights by copying legal content for their blog.

The recent conversation we had with a potential client inspired me to put together a formal comparison of our two services. This is something we’ve been meaning to do at Zlien for some time. Over the coming weeks we’ll publish reports comparing Zlien’s services to other competitors.

Take a look at the “Compare Us” page on Zlien’s website. Also, click here to download the full report comparing Zlien and LienItNow.

Here is a summary of the report.

Zlien Has A Team You Can Get To Know And Trust

Excerpt from the first page of our report. When you work with Zlien you work with a great team who you can get to know and trust. Who is LienItNow anyway? Their website is cryptic, contains a lot of vague descriptions and at the end of the day, the people behind the site remain pretty anonymous.

We’re proud of the team we’ve assembled to help you manage your company’s mechanics lien and preliminary notice compliance. That’s why our website contains a Why Zlien link right at the top of the page.  You’ll see the key members of our team, our licensing and insurance information and more about the security precautions and procedures we put in place to ensure your information is safe with us and that your orders get handled correctly.

When deciding on a partner to help you file a mechanics lien, it’s important to find a partner you can trust. A mistake in your mechanics lien claim could cost your company thousands. Zlien is the smart choice for your company.

No Additional Fees With Zlien

Zlien Has Flat Fees. No Tricks.

When you order a mechanics lien or other product from Zlien you’ll know exactly how much you’re going to pay.  We have a flat nationwide (except HI, sorry. Mahalo!) fee for every product. There are no memberships, no hidden fees, no potential additional costs.  Our published fee is the fee, and that’s that.

Other services (like LienItNow / Lien It Now) publish flat fee prices but contain a disclaimer that any product could be more expensive depending on the county charges. Some other services publish a flat fee, but charge extra for filing fees, postage, service costs and courier fees.

The Zlien flat fee is a nationwide rate and includes all filing, service, courier, postage and recording fees.  You’ll never get a surcharge from us.

Zlien Has Enormous, Free Mechanics Lien Resources

A comparison of the legal resources available from Zlien (on the right) and LienItNow (on the left).

We put a lot of throught and effort into our legal resources. Every legal resource published on the Zlien website is prepared by an attorney.  No exceptions.

Our resources are not prepared by an SEO company or a non-lawyer employee. Plus, the resources are constantly pruned to ensure they are compliant with the most current set of laws and legal changes are monitored daily to notify our readers and visitors of any lien law changes or alerts.

No one invests more time and money in preparing more resources than Zlien…and we give it all away to our clients, potential clients and visitors at absolutely no charge.
