This blog post is long overdue – with 567 other blog posts published over the course of 5 years coming before this short introduction to me, the founder of Zlien and founding author of this Lien Blog. It’s finally nice to meet you!
If you’re here and reading the lien blog, you probably think I’m a pretty boring guy whose only interests relate to mechanics lien law. You’d be right on the first count, but wrong on the second. I have a few other interests up my sleeve.
Who I Am
When not inspiring the world with mechanics lien information, I play with my beautiful daughter Claire (she’s new!), take pictures and upload them to my Flickr account, and travel.
I used to have more time and more interest in music, but now I pretty much listen to all the stuff I listened to when I had more time and interest in music. This stuff gets made fun of pretty regularly by my co-workers, who have no taste in music
, and includes Damien Rice, Rufus Wainwright, Green Day and Lionel Richie. I’m kidding about Lionel Richie. No, I’m not. Okay, you’ll never know.
On Wednesdays during television season I get pumped up for Psych. On Sundays during football season I’m a zombie, with my allegiance to the New Orleans Saints.
Where I Live
This is an interesting question.
I grew up in New Orleans, and love the city. Zlien was founded in New Orleans and it’s headquarters are there. And for most of the calendar year, you’ll find me working in our offices on Prytania Street, in a perfect little corner of town.
During many of the summer months, however, I spend a lot of time in Seattle, WA, which is where my wife was raised. It’s a good break from the summer heat, and a nice change in scenery.
What I Do
By training, I’m an attorney, and my focus has always been on construction law. Out of law school I started my own firm, Wolfe Law Group, which is still up and running and practicing throughout a few different states (although headquartered in New Orleans). I don’t practice much with the law firm any longer, instead focusing my professional energies on Zlien.
