A lot of Zlien’s business is conducted over the Internet, and we understand our clients’ concerns about security, data protection and trustworthiness. When using our systems, many businesses must disclose sensitive financial information. Further, a construction business must trust the service filing its preliminary notices and mechanic liens, as a mistake can invalidate a company’s security rights and be quite costly.
Zlien takes significant measures to protect your company’s sensitive data and to demonstrate its trustworthiness. This page outlines some of these measures, showing you why so many companies trust Zlien.
Green Means Go. When you login to the Zlien website, you’ll notice a green address bar in your browser. That’s because we maintain a premium SSL Site Certificate, keeping your sensitive data under SSL encryption.

We believe that our customers deserve to paid. Liens and bond claim compliance is only a part of the equation. Companies must look at and manage their entire financial process. Because of this we are proud to be a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, an association committed to helping companies with their financial goals..

While we never anticipate making a mistake with your preliminary notice or mechanics lien, we think it’s responsible to you that we’re prepared just in case. As such, Zlien is bonded and carries Errors and Omissions insurance. You can actually download and read a copy of our errors and omissions insurance policy’s declarations page.

Zlien handles Credit Card and Payment Information with Care. Did you know there were federal regulations mandating security minimums for companies that handle and store credit card information? Rather than managing credit card information on its servers and leave its clients exposed to security threats, Zlien chooses to pay a third party vendor who specializes in credit card and billing security: Freshbooks. Freshbooks uses SSL, Firewalls, Vulnerability Scanning, Strong Encryption, Intrusion Detection and other physical security to make sure your billing information is safe. Read about Freshbook’s Safeguards here.

Zlien is a licensed “Legal Document Preparation” company in the State of California, registered with Los Angeles County with registration number LDA-352, renewal due 5/31/2014. A legal document preparer, unlike an attorney, is a non-lawyer who assists with the preparation of legal documents. The services are performed at your specific direction. To maintain a LDA license, Zlien must register with the state, maintain a bond with the state to protect its clients, and meet certain qualifications to ensure its competence to perform LDA tasks.

Zlien is compliant with the Arizona Legal Document Assistant laws as the company acts under the supervision of an Arizona attorney, Scott Wolfe Jr (Look up license status at http://www.azbar.org). The Arizona Legal Document Preparer law’s definition section, paragraph (b) provides that “A person or qualified business entity shall not engage in the preparation of legal documents as specified in subsection (F)(1) without the supervision of an attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona, unless the person or qualified business entity is certified pursuant to this section.” As Zlien is supervised by an attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona, we operate without the LDA certification, but in compliance with the rule.
